The BBC commissioned a series of short films about Israeli society in 2007 and this film was one of two made for them.

The film is about a young Ethiopian boy who immigrated to Israel with his family and now lives in a boarding school.  As a teenager who is seeking his own voice and identity, he not only finds himself struggling to assimilate into a society that is often racist, but also moving away from a heritage that he no longer feels a part of and towards another that he has yet to fully understand and learn.

The film was done with Native Voice Films, a production company established in London in 1998, with a diverse slate of films from Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.
